My view on age of consent

We don't have race-limits or gener-limits in the law anymore, so why do we have age-limits?

Teenagers who like sex actually exists.

A hypothetical law as logical as the age of consent would be that it was illegal for men to have sex with women. Because men can beat a woman, rape them and threaten to murder them if she goes to the police. Many men behave this way and men are overrepresented in crime statistics, but not all men are criminals, people are individuals. But it would cost too much to put all men who have had sex with women in prison because it is so common, but you can afford to lock up minorities, such as ephebophiles. It would have been a sexist and heterophobic law, now we only have ageist laws.

If an adult manipulate a 18-year-old and nag about having sex and eventually the youngster agree but afterwards gets traumatised it is completely legal. Does that sound like a good law to you? I see humans as individuals and think judges should be allowed to judge after what has happened and not just age.

If research has shown that you can consent to sex at the age of 17 and there is different laws in different countries, does that mean that sexual maturity is cultural? That sounds like racism.

If you are gonna get a drivings licence you have to be a sertan age (let's say 16), but you don't get a drivings licence just because you turn 16, a driving instructor have to approve you first. Why can't judges be like driving instructors and see to the induvidual instead of just counting age? See if what has happened is ok after the police have investigated a situation where a person under 17 has had sex.

Why are people so afraid of sex all the time? It's the most beautiful thing there is.
